Which ‘Work from Home’ jobs are scams and which are legit?

I already have a full time job but I need extra cash. However I work the graveyard shift so just getting a part time job somewhere will be tough for me. I was considering Work from Home jobs but I heard a lot of them are scams. You have to send them money to get supplies or whatever. How do I know if the company is legit?

Most work from home jobs depend on the amount of time you have to commit, as well as the amount of money you have to contribute.
Be careful, as in this day and age, nothing is free or easy.

some work from home companies are verified through the better business bureau, if the name of the company exist, then it is legal..even if they ask for payment you know that they will not run away from you after receiving the payment

Many of the multilevel companies are the Work from Home opportunities.
Usually if the company has had a history of 5 or more years it is legit, as it wouldve perished by then if it were pyramid scheme.
Be wary of pre-launch companies, especially if launch dates inevitably get delayed or they ask for money, and you get nothing in return. I have been jibbed by one of these and have learned my mistake. There are also some pre-launch companies which are legit and I have joined some of these with various degrees of success. It is however notoriously difficult to find these, but highly rewarding if you get in early.
If you join a MLM company that is 10-15+ years old, I would not recommend joining it, as many people will have made money from it. You will still be able to make money but at a lesser frenzy than it once was.
Do some research and make your own decision. If I see something that has potential I put my money into it, it’s only a few hundred dollars - then I just find some people, and help my business grow. It’s that simple.
If you need more opinion on a particular company let me know and I will advise on whether you should join it or not.

You need a service that people want. Stay away from those scams where they tell you that you can work out of your home if you buy stuff from them. It is cheaper to have a machine stuff envelopes than people, for example. Some people sell things on ebay, but they usually specialize in something they are knowledgeable about or they have contacts with suppliers. If you are a bookkeeper and can work out of your house serving small businesses, that is a skill you already have. Telemarketing is a pretty dead industry with the do not call registry. I paid a consultant who specializes in helping small businesses with insurance and he worked out of his house. If you don’t have a special skill, look for a regular job and develop a skill people want. You need a computer and a fax modem to operate a business out of your home. You will have to advertise your services on and by contacting people in your field to tell them about your business. Consultants usually go to professional groups in their field, meet people and hand out business cards. You can get cheap business cards at Staples or Office Depot. They don’t have to be fancy and expensive.

The next trillion dollar industry is the health/wellness industry. So you would want to get with a firmly established, debt free company that is doing business in over 70 countries, has over 40 physical offices, 7 cafes, ranked the 4th fastest growing company of any kind in its first 6 years, and has an unduplicatble product being called the next coca-cola, allow them to take the financial risks and you get the rewards by payouts of 53 cents on every dollar. That’s what I did and the income with no experience has surpassed my professional income with a master’s. Good luck to you. While you’re researching, you can listen to a toll free, pre-recorded msg about our company at 800-242-0363, pin 4055.

I can tell you about what I did to make money from home. I have two children and really didn’t want to work outside of the home, but having some extra money was something that I wanted. I decided to do some reading.
Gracious, are there ever some get rich quick schemes out there. I read about all of them over the course of two months. Nothing I saw really intrigued me until I read about Site Build It.
What is that all about?
Creating your own web site. My site is about resume writing. I know a lot about it and I have worked in the field before (for years), so writing about it is almost second nature.
I’ll list my web site below and if you want more information, click on the “My Passion” button on my site or click on the “Contact Us” button and ask me any questions you want.
Some people who have their own sites make a whole lot more than I do. I happen to have created a web site in a very competitive field. My next site will be more focused on a tighter niche as those tend to make a lot more money.
Anyway, it has worked for thousands of people and it’s now working for me.
I’ll include one other link so that you can read about other people’s stories. One young lady started building her site when she was a teenager and has completely financed her way through college with just one web site.
My site won’t do that anytime soon, but I like what I have built so far.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
