I just got some info in the mail “Coastal Publications” its a company that wants you to stuff envelopes with letters and you get 10.00 per envelope sent out…BUT there is a 45.00 starting fee and it is refunded after you send out 100 envelopes….SOOO this sounds great but whats the catch??? Any advice???

It’s a scam. Pretty much, they are all scams. Want work? Leave home. Unless you design and manage your own website or run your own company, with licenses, and zoning and taxes, it ain’t happening.

They’re pretty much all scams especially if they are thru a company, What I have to offer is not a work from home job. But it is a way to make money and not by selling a product but learning and spreading the word of advertisement. If you would like more details or are interested please let me know at. Its an interesting process and its working for me and for the people i have recruited since I started. It is 14.95 for the materials but you start earning money same day if you really want to
Good Luck…

Hello, if you are interested in working from home, this is a great business. First of all I want to tell you I have checked out tons of work at home jobs..going to extremes of looking them up on the Better Business Bureau website..all the ones I have found have a NEGATIVE file..then I came across this work at home job..looked them up and they are satisfactory..they have been in business for 9 yrs now. I took the first step by giving them a chance and it is the best decision I have made for myself..they train, give you everything you need to actually make money and everyone who works for them are extremely helpful. I urge you to look over their site and watch the video that is presented (which tells you what the business is about and how you make a profitable paycheck). If you have any questions or just need more information please feel free to contact me, I dont mind helping at all!!! Just thought Id let you know about this because I have went thru the same thing you are going thru..looking at tons of online jobs to find nothing but a waste of my time. Good luck with whatever you choose to do!!

Stuffing envelopes are scams. Unfortunally there is a lot of that out there, just be careful and do your home work. Make sure the business is with the DSA (Direct Selling Assoc), US Chamber of Commerence etc.
The thing with the BBB is that they are independently owned and if a company does not pay the dues then they are not members. ex: Lowes Home Improvement Store is not a member with the BBB and All State Ins has a neg. rating.
One thing to keep in mind is that if it is a job NEVER, never pay money to start working for them. If it is a homebased business there are some start up cost b/c you are an independent contractor for that company and get a 1099 form at the end of the year, etc. If you want info on a home based business that has been around for 15 yrs and going strong check out
Good Luck! HTH!

First, there are a few cardinal rules for looking for ligitimate online jobs:
1) If they ask for any type of fees, RUN FAR AWAY!
2) You will most likely not find a plain ol’ data entry job.
3) Work at home jobs are not any easier than regular jobs you do outside the home, anything promising lots of money for doing nothing is a scam or a bad business opportunity.
4) Do not “process payments” for anyone, you could end up in the big house.
5) Is the job they are offering going to “change your life”, I doubt it. I go to church for that kind of stuff.
6) Legitimate companies will not advertise their jobs on banners or spam mail.
With that said, I have some resources that use when looking for work at home jobs. One is message boards where you can network with other work at home moms and get information about working at home. The other is which is a free site I use frequently for job leads and they also have a wonderful directory of companies that hire home workers. I hope this helps you get going in the right direction. Good luck!
