How do I find stay at home work that isn’t some scam?

sgirlfab asked:

I am going to be a mom, and I am looking into at-home work, but most of what I am finding appears to be Pyramid Schemes and weird Christian Cult groups. Is there anyplace I can search for LEGITIMATE work I can do from home? I live in the Phoenix AZ area.

You have to talk to companies local to your area who are looking for people to do real work from home. I doubt seriously that you will find ANY legitimate work at home opportunity on the Internet. As soon as someone wants you to give them money or sign anything that says you will ever give them money under any circumstance. Run. Run like the wind.

Have you thought about trading on Ebay etc. Drop shipping a product works really well if you have the right business partner to buy from.

Develop your own product or service ? Create a list of what you are passionate about, what you have a lot of knowledge about, something people may come to you for advise on. Then locate a niche market “A group of people who are searching the internet for a solution to a problem and NOT finding many relevant results” There are plenty of ways to do research on this.

Become an affiliate and earn commission by recommending someone else’s product. This is something that is really working well for us at the moment.

Have some links but unfortunately I cannot post them as Yahoo will slap me on the wrist. Best of luck with your search for a business. Denise.

Some companies will hire people who work from their homes to save on office space. You can ask around at local companies and see if they have any openings for that kind of position.

You could also start your own business. You could work as a web-page designer, freelance writer, editor, online tutor, daycare provider, etc.
