Every time i look on the internet for jobs, there are a whole bunch of scams. Why are there so many job scams?

They’re pretty much on every job search engine. Sometimes there are plenty of them. Some of them are work at home scams and some of them are dishonest in their description of a job (many telemarketing companies do this), etc. Why the heck do they target people who just want to get an honest job with an honest wage? (I used to live in Florida for a good number of years and there were more job scams than I had ever seen before. But there certainly plenty up north here too).

It is because many other people were brought up to believe it is good and right to steal from others

Unfortunatly for many the scammers are some of the best paying customers for jobsites…they post 50 or more (in many cases) jobs a day. So when you complain, it means nothing. Looking through the crap to get to the better jobs becomes easier after you look for a few days/weeks. However it is still a pain. If you use a jobsite that lets you choose a search excluding companies, it may work out better for you. I did.

Try the classifieds ads of your local newspaper or an employment agency–a lot fewer scammers.
